Dr. Rafael Nicolosi Libanori

Curriculum vitae

Rafael Libanori was born in Cosmopolis, Brazil, and received his bachelor and master degrees from the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil. From mid-2009 until mid-2013, he developed his PhD thesis at ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. André Studart. During this period, he investigated new processing routes to assemble platelet-reinforced composites exhibiting some of the microstructural features exhibited by biological materials. Since 2021, Rafael has been working as a lecturer and senior researcher at Complex Materials. His current research interests includes bio-inspired composites, active and adaptive materials and living materials.
